Diogenes the Dog is an independent wine bar + online shop & cafe bringing to the table some of the undiscovered wines of the world, with hospitality at the forefront, and simplicity as an ethos.
Diogenes the Dog was one of the founders of the philosophy of Cynicism, and it is with this inquisitive nature we approach our wines. Chosen by owner Sunny Hodge, the wines featured on the rotating list support the true underdogs of the wine world. Questioning our wine choices by focusing on new regions such as Texas, Poland, and China, or more reputable regions brave enough to step outside the norm. His personal connections with the winemakers, means that more than half of the wines are imported directly from producers, to expose true gems to the London wine scene.

This unique and thoroughly engaging wine experience is an intimate private tasting through 8 wines across four paired courses of small plates to accompany at £89 per guest (or £75 pp before 4pm)
Your Sommelier will take you on a journey through our award winning wine list, and is highly recommended for those seeking an informal learning and tasting experience.

Brunch is served from Thurs - Sunday till 5pm.
Our menu is based on seasonal fresh produce, and features twists on much loved classics such as Catalan Breakfasts served with grilled chorizo, morcilla and truffled eggs.

Afternoon oysters at Diogenes
From Fri - Sun we're serving up oysters at just £2 each before 4pm. Our oysters are fresh, seasonal and on a weekly rotation. An amazing array of rocks and natives so booking is advised early, when they're out, they're out till the following week
Natural House Wines
Harvest 2 & 3 are the first release of our very own Diogenes made wines. using biodynamic Puglian grapes , no sulphites added, nor fining.
They're everyday sippers, and if you bring a 750ml bottle, just £10 for a top up!
